Tomica Cool Drive

As Matchbox is going back to offering their whole range in boxes as well as in blisters, for some retailers in the US, Tomica is putting some of their blistercarded models in new cards with striking illustrations like those in Matchbox from Superfast times and today (and as has for some years Hot Wheels and recently Majorette).

(By the way, Tomica are already sold in blistercards in addition to boxes, but the artwork on those cards is the same of current boxes)

The tweet I got this picture from, is from Japan and call this "Tomica Cool Drive" an "overseas" series. Judging by the presence of the Honda Brio and Toyota Avanza Veloz, this could be for Indonesia or a market in that area. Also interesting is that all models come in at least two colours, which is a departure from current Tomica practice, but a welcomed one, in my opinion..

So far in this "Tomica Cool Drive" range we can see: Nissan GT-R, Nissan Juke, Honda Fit, Honda Brio, Toyota 86, Toyota Avanza Veloz, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X, Mitsubishi Mirage, Mazda CX-5, Subaru WRX. Better pictures below.
