BBC documentary on the folly of building cars in Linwood, Scotland. The Rootes group was forced by the British Government to put a new factory there, thousands of miles from their base in Coventry. The company had to bear the costs of shipping all the mechanicals for the new Imp to Scotland, and then bring the finished cars back to their main markets in England. The car itself was released underdeveloped, and labour relations were atrocious.
